NEREN – Membership

Who Can Join

NEREN membership is open to organizations across the Northeast that advance education and research. Members include:

  • State Networks – regional RENs that represent multiple institutions. If your local state network is already part of NEREN, then so are you!
  • Individual Institutions – colleges and universities that do not have access to a state network, including smaller campuses
  • Affiliates – research or education-focused organizations that benefit from secure connectivity and collaboration with peers

Institutions seeking to participate should first engage with their state network to determine the best connection pathway. NEREN works closely with these networks to ensure all members are represented and supported.
